F-Stop/Aperture Setting

This Izzy Video discusses the use of the F-stop (sometimes called "aperture") setting on your camcorder. The F-stop determines the amount of light getting into your camera by changing the size of the iris opening, or aperture. A larger F-stop setting lets in less light, and conversely a smaller F-stop setting lets in more light. The video also discusses the F-stop setting's effect on depth of field, i.e., the lower the F-stop, the shallower the depth of field.  Nuetral-density lenses can be used to change the balance between F-stop, image brightness, and depth of field.
