Script Writing

This video  the excellent AFI ScreenNation series looks at the discipline of script writing. In story telling, you may begin with the basic dilemma. Define your characters, what they want, and what they're trying to do. Bullet points from the treatment become scenes, settings, actions, and dialogue. It not only develops the story, but also your plan for producing it, including such elements as:

  • dialogue
  • camera direction
  • location
  • set description
  • props
  • costumes
